Bay Surgery Center has a highly trained, multidisciplinary clinical staff which includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, operating room technicians, radiological technicians and clinical support staff with years of outpatient surgery experience. We maintain the highest quality and safety control standards. Our nurses are highly trained and certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Our scheduling staff will work with your physician’s office to arrange for your surgical procedure and ensure that the correct supplies and materials are available on the day of your surgery.
Bay Surgery Center carefully screens all physicians who apply for privileges at our center. All physicians are certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties, are fully credentialed by local hospitals and national health plans, and are members in good standing of the local medical community. All physicians must apply for privileges and undergo a rigorous review of their credentials prior to performing surgery at the center.

Babak Jamasbi, M.D.
Dr. Jamasbi received his medical Doctorate from The University of Maryland, School of Medicine and completed his Pain Management fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. He has held a position as Assistant Clinical Professor at Stanford Medical Center. He is the co-founder of Pain and Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group, Northern California Functional Restoration Program and Bay Surgery Center. He has served as Medical Director of Pain Management at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center and was one of the founders of the Spasticity management program at Alta Bates Medical center. He has served as physician Champion at Sutter to set up treatment protocols for management of chronic back pain. He has been on the board of the directors of California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery for many years and has served as the President of the Society. He is a member of The International Association for the Study of Pain. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualification on Pain Management and a member of The American Board of Pain Medicine.
Brendan Morley, M.D.
Dr. Morley is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine and received postgraduate training as a Fellow in Pain Management at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine . He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, American Pain Society, and the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Morley received a Certificate of Recognition for Support of Hospice in May 1998 from the California State Senate, and is certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Morley has been in private practice since 1995 in the East Bay . Dr. Morley is co-founder of the Northern California Functional Restoration Medical Group, as well as co-owner of the Pain and Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group (PRC) in Oakland, CA from 1995 to present.
Timothy Lo, M.D.
Dr. Lo is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his residency in Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center . He completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School and is trained in interventional pain procedures. He is board certified in Neurology and performs electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS). He received a Masters in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley and is a medically-trained acupuncturist. He is a member of the American Pain Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, American Academy of Neurology, and the American Headache Society. He joined the Pain and Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group in Oakland, CA in July 2007.
Arzhang Zereshki, M.D., QME
Dr. Zereshki is a graduate of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science – The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan. He completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Stanford University. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and performs electrodiagnostic studies. He joined Pain and Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group in September 2013.
Neil Kamdar, M.D.
Dr. Kamdar is a graduate of Rush Medical College at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He remained at Rush University Medical Center for completion of his Anesthesiology Residency and Interventional Pain Fellowship. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and is trained in interventional pain procedures. He is a member of the American Pain Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the North American Neuromodulation Society and American Society of Anesthesiologists. He joined Pain and Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group in 2016.
Larry Woodcox, D.P.M.
Dr. Larry Woodcox is a Board Certified Foot and Ankle Surgeon Podiatrist. He is a fellow of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has a vast experience and expertise in complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery as well as minimal invasive arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery. He is also one of a few surgeons in the Bay Area that preforms Tenjet procedure for Plantar Fasciitis and tendon problems of the foot and ankle. The Tenjet procedure is a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes high pressured water to dislodge diseased tissue through a 3mm incision allowing for rapid healing and recovery.
Diokson Rena, M.D.
Dr. Diokson Rena has been a practicing Physiatrist for over 20 years. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with sub-specialties in Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. He studied physical therapy prior to medical school. He completed his fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine. Dr. Rena takes the whole body into account to accurately pinpoint problems. He specializes in non-surgical musculoskeletal care with special interest in interventional spine procedures. When not working, Dr. Rena likes spending time with family and friends, hiking and international travels.
Natalia Balytsky, M.D.
Dr. Balytsky is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist with over 15 years of experience. Studying medicine in Ukraine, Dr. Balytsky transitioned to the United States to the University of Pittsburgh and University of California San Francisco where she was a clinical fellow at the Pain Management Center. Prior to joining the IPM team, Natalia worked at Bay Area Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine as a pain management specialist. In addition to her experience, she is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
